Are there seasons for divorce?

A recent study suggests that a connection exists between vacations and marriages that are ending. Part of what the study discovered is that divorce filings tend to peak in August and March of each year. It was the proximity of these months to the end of winter and summer vacation periods for families here in New Jersey and across the country that intrigued researchers.

Divorce issues: Business interests, retirement and alimony

Whether New Jersey couples would admit it, money is a central issue and concern when ending a marriage. Each party is attempting to secure a financial future that is at least comfortable. This might account for the fact that businesses and/or business interests, retirement and alimony are the three top monetary issues dealt with during the property division portion of a divorce.

School and child custody arrangements

Many New Jersey couples who are getting a divorce have school age children. While they might be mindful of how parenting time will affect the child's school schedule, they might not consider how the divorce and the schedule will affect their academics and behavior in school. This needs to be a consideration for both parents as they negotiate their child custody agreement.

The Depp-Heard divorce provides valuable info on the process

When a celebrity marriage ends, it often makes headlines. Continuing updates on the divorce can provide New Jersey readers who are either going through a divorce or contemplating one with invaluable insight into the process. Currently, the divorce of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is providing a glimpse into what to expect when one party will be deposed by the other.

Honored as a "Best of New Jersey Among our Most Distinguished Americans of Italian Descent" and conferred the "Stivale D'Italia Award of Excellence" by the Italian Tribune for her "honesty, integrity and dedication to fair and ethical business practices" and her "outstanding reputation as a Woman Whose Word is Her Bond".
