Biography
Elsie Gonzalez Esq., is an associate at Cipriano Law Offices. Since her graduation from law school, Ms. Gonzalez has been solely dedicated to the practice of family and matrimonial law. Ms. Gonzalez gained experience in family law by clerking for the Honorable Lisa P. Thornton, A.J.S.C., (then presiding judge of the family part) in the Monmouth Vicinage and working at a prestigious boutique family law firm. Prior to graduating law school, she interned for the Honorable Alberto Rivas, J.S.C. in the family part of the Middlesex Vicinage, and she represented clients in the Family Law Clinic at Seton Hall University School of Law which is offered by the school's Center for Social Justice. Additionally, Ms. Gonzalez interned for the Honorable Julio M. Fuentes, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the Honorable Michael A. Shipp U.S.D.J., United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the Honorable Susan D. Wigenton U.S.D.J., United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Ms. Gonzalez was also a contributing author on the ICLE publication, the Yudes Family Law Citator, a yearly treatise that is utilized by almost all family and matrimonial attorneys in the State of New Jersey.
Ms. Gonzalez has handled complex matters from the initial filing through the conclusion works with clients whose needs lie in all areas of matrimonial and family law, including divorce litigation, appeals, mediation and arbitration, custody and parenting time issues, alimony and child support, separation and property settlement agreements, domestic violence and sexual abuse, and palimony. She has also handled high profile and complex matrimonial matters.
